Course objectives
To explicate elementary numerical methods of algebra and mathematical analysis with practical applications.
Syllabus
  • - introduction, errors in numerical computations
    - approximation and interpolation of functions
    - numerical solving of nonlinear equations
    - numerical methods for solving linear systems
    - numerical integration
    - numerical solving of initial value problem for ordinary differential equations

Requierements for pre-exam credits are defined by lecturer. In principle, students should be able to solve simple practical problems. The same is true for written exam. During the course of oral exam, essential theoretical attainments are required.
