Předmět poskytuje studujícím teoretické poznatky z problematiky bezpečnosti státu,
bezpečnostní a vojenské politiky a základů kriminologie a sice v rozsahu, který umožňuje
pochopení metodologie předmětu, odrážejícího svým charakterem bezpečnostní fakta a
vývojové trendy bezpečnostních procesů, sfér a činností. Předmět současně zasazuje teoretické
poznatky do širších souvislostí společenské praxe.
