Course objectives
The course focuses on procedures for detecting / identifying sources of risk, relative / index of risk assessment and identification of sources of systematic risk on the basis of causal relations, cause - effect. To estimate the effects of selected major events, the ALOHA model is presented.
Syllabus
  • 1. Requirements for risk analysis - an overview of major events, basic concepts.
    2. Legislation of major events in the Czech republic and EU.
    3. Identification and prioritization of risk sources in regions.
    4. Selection of sources of risk in an industrial undertaking.
    5. Relative index of risk assessment methods: Fire and Explosion Index, Index of Chemical Risk.
    6. Systematic identification of sources of risk to the principle of causal relations: HAZOP (HAZard and OPerability Study), FMEA (Failure Mode and Effect Analysis).
    7. Modeling of major events, the ALOHA system.
