Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to explain basic ideas of logistics, elementary methods and importance and coverage of logistics to students on bachelor degree of study. By case studies students will be able to solve practical problems in selected areas of logistics. It does not assume prior knowledge of logistics.

  • 1. Fundamentals of logistics.
    2. Economical and system aspects of logistics.
    3. Genesis and development of logistics in Czech Republic and abroad.
    4. System approach of logistics, logistical processes, logistical chains and networks, typology of logistical systems.
    5. Management and planning methods in logistics.
    6. Rationalization and automatization methods in logistics.
    7. Information technologies and logistic information systems.
    8. Basic approaches of projecting and long term planning in logistics.
    9. Social, legal, ecological, political and international aspects in logistics.
