- The course acquaints students with advanced topics in the field of operating systems.
- Learning outcomes
- Students will be able to:
- Manage processes and services for Windows and Unix operating systems.
- Manage devices and networks on both Unix and Windows operating systems.
- address issues related to the installation, maintenance, and repair of operating systems. - Syllabus
- 1. Managing Windows in text mode, scripts, compound commands, PowerShell.
- 2. Objects in Windows. Access control and user management in Windows, policies, templates.
- 3. Process and service management in Windows, WBEM.
- 4. Device and network management.
- 5. Deployment of Windows - installation, update, software management.
- 6. Managing UNIX systems in text mode, scripts, compound statements.
- 7. Process and task management in UNIX systems.
- 8. Access control and user management.
- 9. Device and network management in UNIX systems.
- 10. Deployment of UNIX systems - initialization systems and services, logging, security.
