- Course objectives
- The course, created for the second year of Bachelor Studies, introduces epic texts, written after the year1945 in the former western (BRD) and eastern (DDR) Germany. The course focuses on the short story as a genre which is not to difficult to read, to understand and to deal with. The intention is to discuss the specific topics and formal structures of the German short stories of that time and to analyze the similarities and differences between the western and eastern texts. The students will analyze stories written by the most outstanding German writers.
