- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint the students with the basic principles of management theory and with the specific component of personnel management. Students will learn about topics focused on organizational architectures in economic and social environments and understand the importance of HR activities in organizations. The main objective of the course is to develop students' knowledge and skills necessary to manage different types of organizational units Upon successful completion of the course, students will be able to present the basic systemic organization of management. They will understand and take a view on management issues in the context of historical development and be able to apply managerial functions to practical examples. They will understand the function of basic motivational theories and leadership in management practice. They will also become familiar with the broad field of personnel management, especially individual personnel activities. They will learn to create basic analyses of personnel activities in firms or organizations based on assigned term papers.
- Learning outcomes
- Professional knowledge: the student can define the basic systemic organization of management, can characterize the development directions in management, can describe the basic functions of management, knows the essence of individual personnel activities and can determine their importance. The student is familiar with the strategy of human resource management and is able to create a basic analysis of personnel activities in a company or organisation. Professional skills. They actively present their own views or those of the team. Can use ICT for organisational, presentation and analytical work. General competence: Students can decide independently which functions and methods to use in a selected company or organisation.
