Course objectives
Lecture The course aims to provide students with information about the problems of abused and neglected child. The content of the course focuses on both the historical background of this phenomenon and its development until now. Attention will also be focused on the personality of an individual in a social environment, to various forms of child abuse. In connection with the themes studied the course focuses also on the issue of prevention of CAN syndrome, legal aspects (eg. The Convention on the Rights of the Child), child care, suffering from syndrome CAN. By completing the course, students will be educated in the problems CAN be able to design appropriate content eg. Prevention programs focused on this area, etc.

    1. The syndrome abused and neglected child, the past. The causes of the development of violent behavior against children in the family
    2. The status of children in society and its legal aspects. Risk Factors Syndrome child abuse and neglect. Transgeneration transmission
    3. Physical abuse
    4. Psychical abuse. Mental deprivation and traumatization
    5. Sexually abused children
    6. Disrepair and neglect
    7. Special forms of CAN
    8. Prevention
    9. Children in danger, risk life situations and psychological suffering of a child
    10. Occurrence CAN syndrome, detection (detection) of CAN syndrome and its registration
    11. Treatment of children affected CAN syndrome, child care suffer from a syndrome CAN
