Course objectives
The subject is aimed at complex and structured conception of Gerontagogy issues, key terms, concepts and aspects in frame of lifelong learning (LLL), wich sholud by understand as a base for others subjects, during the definition of the subject, functions, principles and objectives of education with relation to other education disciplines.
Syllabus
  • 1. Definition of key Vymezení klíčových categories and categorial apparatus of gerontagogy.
    2. Fenomenon of old age and population ageing (old age and population ageing - natural innate of human life; individuality of ageing; International comparation of population age structure; to age and ageing of Czech population)
    3. Gerontagogy as a science, its constitual concept ( term and subject of gerontagogy; dimesions of gerontagogy)
    4. Charakteristic drafts of senior population (biologic and cognitive change in continual ageing; competences and productivity in old age; competeces of senior and lecturer - gerontagog)
    5. Developmental potential in old age (senium); personal genesis in senium; developmental tasks in senium.
    6. Educational connections of population ageing; preparing to healt ageing - aspect of modern society; education in LLL context - senior priority and right; Andragogy base for senior education; prior determinants of senior effective educational process; senium vital mechanism and senior education.
    7. Key components of senior education; base goals and functions of senior education; subject matter of senior education; principles of effective senior education; Forms in senior educations; Methods of senior education; Diagnostic - supportin element of effective senior education; means and didactic equipment for effective senior education.
    8. Age-management versus Age-ism; Age-management - original and new concept; Age-ism - base and typical exhibitions, consequence, arrangements.
    9. Important institutions and documents supporting development of senior education; worldś institutions supporting development of senior education (OSN-UNESCO, EU/EC, OECD, CE (Counsel of Evrope) ,WHO, EURAG, EFOS etc.; Key supporting documents for senior education.

Student prepares in given dates (viz study pillar) selected correspondent tasks from study pillar and send it to lecturer.
He/She can have consultation to study themes from subject via e-mail, or personally. In the final test obtain min. 75 points from 100;
