- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to understand the basic definition, subject and goals of one of the pedagogical disciplines and anchor it in the system of pedagogical sciences. The aim is to provide information with an emphasis on the necessity of an individualized and at the same time holistic approach when acting on an individual or a group. The content of the subject is closely linked to orientation from general pedagogy. At the same time, attention is paid to related concepts, theories, individual components and sub-components of education and their application in the educational environment of school and family. The goal is to create a theoretical and practical basis for further study of applied pedagogical disciplines. Another goal of teaching the subject is to equip students with a number of practical skills that will enable them to successfully handle even challenging educational situations. Supplementary seminars are an integral part of the course.
- Learning outcomes
- Expertise: The student will obtain the information necessary for orientation in the field of educational theory, which represents a further acceleration of selected topics from the subject of general pedagogy. Professional skills: The student can orient himself in the field of educational theory and will be able to argue the individual components and sub-components of education, against the background of the current level of knowledge. Orients himself in the relevant professional literature, can search for, interpret and apply the acquired information in practice. He is able to connect the acquired knowledge with the practical needs of the field. General Eligibility: The student will be able to use a broad theoretical base from the field of educational theory in terms of current educational needs. He will be able to apply the acquired knowledge and experience, for example, when designing educational programs, preventive programs, etc.

- 2. Objectives of education in individual components of education, global education, intellectual education and world-view education, media education, moral education, humanist multicultural education, occupational and technical education, aesthetic and artistic education, physical education, education towards health and healthy lifestyle
- 3. Personal social development of the individual
- 4. Upbringing in the family
- 5. Alternative care (Institutional and protective upbringing)
- 6. Leisure-time education
- 7. Discipline as a means and goal of education
- 8. Social pathological phenomena of youth in terms of educational activity
- 9. Bullying at school in terms of educational activity, solutions within the school environment
- 10. Other social pathological phenomena in children and youth and their prevention from the perspective of educational activity - strategies to prevent risk behaviour
