- Expert Knowledge:
Students demonstrate knowledge in the area of ICT implementation into practice; they are able to describe legislative conditions, they orient themselves in current trends; they are able to work with modern technology; they orient themselves in modern applications and are able to use them to proces expert information; they orient themselves in modern communication technologies of global networks and are able to use them practically.
Expert Skills:
Students are able to explain expert ICT terms; they are able to use modern information and communication technologies in various practical fields and demonstrate theoretical and practical knowledge in the given area.
General competency:
Students are able independently to decide which ICT they will employ in practice, in compliance with legislative and safety standards.

- Course objectives
- The aim of the subject is to make students familiar with using modern ICT in practice. The subject describes information from the area of new technology implementation with respect to legislative conditions and sustainable economic and social contribution of the single digital market in the EU countries. The greatest attention will be paid to practical use of digital technologies, ie their use for acquiring, processing, classification and categorization of data, for presentation of information and knowledge, understanding the principle of sharing, using moderns technologies as means of communication in the environment of global networks and for international cooperation. On the completion of the course, students will be able to orient themselves in the area of ICT issues, they will be able to apply theoretical and practical knowledge in practice and, at the same time, their professional skills in using ICT will be strengthened.

- 1. Introduction into the subject: defining the subject goal and contents, reference literature and sources, defining some terms and related contexts.
2. Modern information and communication technology - technical platform.
3. Modern information and communication technology - programme platform.
4. Information and knowledge society; the analysis of accessible ICT in the EU countries.
5. Searching information, data classification and categorization, sorting out and sharing information in the environment of accessible applications and in the environment of global networks.
6. The administration and sharing documents and knowlede by via modern technology.
7. Using digital and mobile technology in practice.
8. Multimedia presentations and interactive objects, data import and export, data publication on web portals.
9. E-learning applications and videoconference transmissions.
10. Communication media on-line and off-line in global networks and their practical use in practice.
11. Case study: ICT Project Management.
12. Developing communication skills based on ethical rules; safety and legislative conditions for ICT implementation.

- Teacher's information
- The seminar follows up on a series of lectures. Theoretical knowledge are practically verified and practised through discussions, reports and a written test in the e-learning course environment. The credit requirement is a minimum of 80% seminar attendance, a written paper of 5-7 pages on a selected topic, its defence and the demonstration of skills in seminar practice.
