  • SMART solutions in the economy, benefits and costs of SMART solutions, cost-benefit analyses, external effects and technology, resources, and limits of the SMART economy, Quaternary sector.
  • 2. Foundational Concepts of the SMART Economy
  • Circular economy, sharing economy, sustainable development, Smart city concept.
  • 3. Industry 4.0
  • The Fourth Industrial Revolution. Internet of Things, Internet of Services, digital economy. Industrial automation. Economic benefits and consequences of Industry 4.0. The role of Industry 4.0 in the global economy.
  • 4. The Labor Market in the Context of Industry 4.0
  • Labor market, human capital, qualifications, and workforce in the context of the Industry 4.0 concept. Education and innovation in technical education, new needs of the education system. Society 5.0.
  • 5. Industry 4.0 and SMART Economy in the Czech Republic and the World
  • The relationship between Industry 4.0 and the SMART economy. The Czech Republic and Industry 4.0, the National Industry 4.0 Initiative. The Czech Republic and SMART solutions.
