Course objectives
The aim of the course is to acquire theoretical knowledge and practical skills in the field of communication in tourism.
Learning outcomes
Upon completion of the course, the student will be able to: - use vocabulary in a specific context, - communicate on the topics specified in the course syllabus.
Syllabus
  • room reservation 1.Hotel correspondence for reservations. 2. inquiry Receive usual correspondence for inquiries. 3. hotel guest pick up Provide information on hotel guest pick-up. Respond to requests. 4. dissatisfied customers Reassure dissatisfied guests and find solutions. Respond to complaints. Addressing and responding to someone. Giving location information. Giving information about the weather. 5. travel offer Types of vacations, offering a trip, at a travel agency. 6. cancellations Reasons for cancellations, responses to cancellations. 7. telephone calls Spelling chart, making telephone calls. 8. hotel evaluation Guest questionnaire, location, quality, comfort, satisfaction. 9. invoices Making out invoices, payment price, unit price, overnight stay, method of payment.
