  • Learning Outcomes

    After successfully completing his/her studies the graduate is able to:

    • apply basic theoretical knowledge of history, cultural history and cultural heritage of the Czech lands and Central Europe;
    • apply basic theoretical knowledge in the field of cultural tourism and tourism, international cooperation;
    • apply professional skills in the field of presentation, popularisation and animation of cultural heritage and cultural monuments in a historical context;
    • prepare in a team and independently leisure products in the field of tourism and tourism, programmes for the needs of heritage institutions (museums, installed objects, etc.);
    • carry out independent activities and lower-level management in the field of cultural institutions, state administration and local government;
    • thanks to their language skills, navigate in professional and popular information sources and use them for professional and creative activities in the field of history, culture and tourism;
    • apply the necessary degree of adaptability and creativity, communicate with work partners and professional institutions;
    • pursue further self-education.

  • Occupational Profiles of Graduates

    The graduate has the opportunity to apply his/her theoretical knowledge and practical skills in professional practice in the field of history, culture and services, in the implementation of professional, educational and leisure activities in memory, historical/cultural-historical and educational institutions and tourism facilities. Enhancing language competences enables communication with foreign professional partners, visitors and clients. Specifically, the graduate will find employment in museums, galleries, installed objects and other heritage and cultural/historical institutions, in leisure facilities, including tourism; in administration; in the media, etc. He/she can be a collection manager, lecturer, animator, guide, programme worker; administrative officer. May be a member of a collective or work as an independent worker.
