Um die zentralen Spracherscheinungen von den peripheren unterscheiden zu können, braucht man sprachliche Daten. Nicht nur aus dem Bedürfnis heraus, authentische Beispiele einfach und schnell finden zu können, greift man heutzutage nach Textkorpora unterschiedlicher Art. Im Beitrag wird am Beispiel des deutschen Verbs lassen gezeigt, wie man sich ein Parallelkorpus bei sprachvergleichenden Analysen zu Nutze machen kann und wie man die Korpusbelege auswertet, um die zentralen Phänomene des jeweiligen Sprachsystems hervorzuheben.

To find central and peripheral phenomena of a particular language, we need language data. Nowadays, the usual way is to use text corpora. The aim of the paper is to demonstrate the use of a parallel corpus for an analysis of the German verb lassen. The results of the corpus queries help us to focus on central language phenomena which are relevant for the field German as a foreign language.
