The quality of the environment is considered a key condition for the development of tourism and a factor necessary to satisfy the needs of tourists. Nowadays, it is important for businesses to be aware of the impact of their business on the environment. The aim of this article is to examine the approach of accommodation service providers to issues of environmental protection and sustainability on a sample of selected accommodation facilities in the Moravian-Silesian Region, to determine the trend of development of interest in the sustainable operation of accommodation services, to the issue of water and energy management, waste sorting and recycling, the use of local resources, introduction of socially sustainable solutions and green management, ecological brand, according to sustainability indicators according to the Manual of Sustainable Tourism Development 2030. Marketing research techniques were used – structured interviews and questionnaire surveys, the method of comparison, induction and deduction. From the results, it can be determined that the accommodation service companies of the Moravian-Silesian Region are following the path of applying green management, in the future they want to develop their initiatives in a sustainable direction and lead their guests to this as well. From the research, a number of specific recommendations can be proposed for entrepreneurs on how to do business sustainably and for institutions, which direction should be taken to support sustainable business.
