Přednáška „Bohatství našich předků“ byla součástí akce Noc vědců. Účastníci se vydali po stopách dávných pokladů ukrytých pod zemí a seznámili se s významnými depotními nálezy z Opavska a Pobeskydí. Dozvěděli se, proč lidé v minulosti své cennosti zakopávali, co nám o nich prozrazují objevené předměty a jak tyto poklady pomáhají rekonstruovat každodenní život našich předků. Přednáška odhalila tajemství bohatství ukrytého v našem regionu a nabídla nový pohled na historii českého Horního Slezska.

The lecture “The Wealth of Our Ancestors” was part of the European Researchers’ Night event. Participants set out to uncover ancient treasures hidden beneath the ground, exploring significant hoard finds from the Opava region and the Foothills of the Beskids. The lecture explained why people in the past buried their valuables, what the discovered artefacts reveal about them, and how these finds help reconstruct the everyday life of our ancestors. It unveiled the secrets of the wealth hidden in our region and offered a fresh perspective on the history of Czech Upper Silesia.
