With reference to feminist theory of Gilbert and Gubar, Kristeva and Spivak, it examines silence as both oppression and resistance. Through comparative analysis, this article reveals how the portrayal of silence evolves, reflecting shifting power structures and the complexities of female subjectivity in literature.
