Course objectives
The content is the unfolding of the basic characteristics of the cultural landscape as a place for life, reproduction and production. Basic the approach represents the historical development of the settlement associated with interventions by changes in the landscape. Basic contexts monitored in connection with historical facts in our countries and in Central Europe.
Learning outcomes
After completing the course, the student will be able to have a basic orientation in the given topic.
Syllabus
  • 1. Cultural landscape as a subject of professional interest. 2. The landscape as a place for life and production 3. Agriculture, a source of livelihood and intervention in the landscape. 4. The landscape as a source of energy and raw materials. 5. Settlement processes. 6. Human settlements, localization, countryside and cities. 7. Water in the landscape, navigability, modifications, pond farming. 8. Natural and human disasters. 9. Stages of deforestation and production processes. 10. Baroque landscape creation as an expression of ideology. 11. Controlled (planned) farming in the countryside. 12. Industrial revolution. 13. Landscape and post-industrial society.
