Course objectives
The aim of the seminar is the application of theoretical knowledge in news and journalistic practice. Students will learn about the organization of work in the media, their internal structure, types of journalistic professions and the technique of journalistic work. With the daily editing of newspapers and magazines and various types of editorial work, with the preparation of daily news, starting with the choice of topics, through preparation, to the implementation of a newspaper report, radio and television contribution.

  • 1. introduction to the issue, familiarization with mandatory and recommended literature 2. media system in the Czech Republic 3. mission and status of public service media in the Czech Republic 4. sources of public reporting 5. human resources in reporting, the functioning of the newsroom 6. preparation of a news article 7. sources of information 8. interview 9. composition of a written report 10. language means of written reports 11. composition of a television report 12. language means of television news 13. picture and post-production of the TV report
