Course objectives
The theater seminar is aimed at developing the ability to read and interpret a work of art from the point of view of objective contexts and the individual orientation of the reader. Emphasis will be placed on the structure of the games, their breakdown and plot facts, as well as on the interpretation of individual characters, uncovering their themes, motivations. In the next phase, the analysis grows into a discussion of the social usefulness of the given work and its potential in the broader sense of the word.

  • 8. Czech and Slovak postmodernism (Drábek, Klimáček)
  • 9. Documentary theater
  • 10. Coolness Playwright (Sarah Kane, Martin Crimp)

Participation in seminars. Active presence and ability to discuss. Continuous elaboration of assigned tasks, reading of secondary literature and its critical reflection. Final (seminar) work in the form of a comprehensive analysis of the selected work.
