- Course objectives
- More detailed understanding of the economy, political development, social structure, religion and culture of the ancient Oriental fertile crescent states (Egypt, Assyria, Babylonia, Phoenicia, Hethits, Israel, Persians).
- Learning outcomes
- The student understands the differences between the Eastern Mediterranean states and the classical ancient states; he knows the common patterns of development of the fertile crescent states and the development differences between them; he understands the importance of the development of this region for the history of Europe; he is oriented in the history and culture of individual states.
