- Course objectives
- The seminar focused on the understanding of the basic problem of aesthetic thought from antiquity to the 20th century, with particular emphasis the Central European context on from 18th Century and the situation in the Czech lands from the late 18th century to the Second World War. After the initial interpretation of the attention focused on the important personalities of the Czech aesthetic thinking. Emphasis is placed on clarifying the limit situations in reflection on artistic creation: the problem of the relationship of aesthetics and art and the level of theory and art history and philosophy of art.
