Course objectives
Lectures reflect history of the theatre from the Middle Ages througt Italian renaissance, Elizabethan theatre, Spanish Golden Age theatre to the developemen commedia dell' arte. The aim of the course is to introduce students to the history of world theatre in a variety of historical and cultural context Students should have a broad understanding of the dramatic forms and theatre conventions.
