Course objectives
The lecture focused on familiarization with the outline development monumentického consciousness and thinking in Europe (especially Central) and from 19 century in the Czech locale, from the ancient world, where monumentické thinking generates political, aesthetic and religious ideas, which makes the reception of artifacts and buildings as monuments of the Middle Ages (in the sense of explicitly religious content - the relics of saints, places suffering saints, etc .). The following is a replacement for sacred aesthetic little man in the Renaissance monumentice and develop a wider range of cultural strategies in the Baroque (Baroque historicism). Emphasis is placed on the genesis of the secular heritage preservation as a state sponsored activities (from the French Revolution), the ideas of Enlightenment and Romanticism, and finally the formation of an organization of State monument care in Central Europe (Central Committee). Lectures take into account numerous Czech specifics, and optional for 1918, 1945 and 1989.

    5. Romantic movement - historicism and nationalism as principles monumentic activities, term antique.
    6. The Historicism in architecture - transformation strategy, personalities, organizations
    7. The Late Historicism and Art Nouveau period, departure from restoration to preservation
    8. The Central Committee and the Vienna School of art history
    9. Czech monumentické thinking in the 19th century and the Club for Old Prague
    10. The situation in the Czech state conservation in the years 1918 - 1945, non-government conservation (associations, movements, personalities, Krajinská museum theory).
    11. The situation in the Czechoslovak state conservation since 1945 (1948)
    12. The situation in the preservation of monuments in the Czech Republic after 1989 - the search and returns
