Course objectives
Interpretation of selected literary terms and concepts. Fundamentals of literary aesthetics. Theory of interpretation. Confirmating and deepening of individual topics through joint reading and interpretation of theoretical texts.
Syllabus
  • Aesthetics of the production - historical models of authorship; authors inside and outside the text (real, implicit). Aesthetics of the literary text mimesis, reference, fictionality, fictional worlds, structure, artifact, an aesthetic object. Aesthetics of the reception Reading, reception, interpretation; empirical and implicit reader. Interpretation theory: objectivity and subjectivity of the interpretation; hermeneutical circle; semantic gesture; overinterpretation and underinterpretation; interpretive community.
