Course objectives
Internet: The origin, history, development, commercialization of the Internet, Internet in the Czech Republic, CESNET, current status (DARPA, ARPANET), TCP / IP, basic Internet services, the possible ways of connecting to the Internet (connection types, cable television, satellite network, electrical distribution network, DSL, Wi-Fi, GSM, current parameters, price), the term broadband, influences the quality of the Internet connection (aggregation response, the last mile). Networks:Types of networks in terms of extent and purpose - LAN, MAN, WAN, PAN, (W) LAN, network topologies (star, ring, tree), a network of stations in equation (Client-Server, P2P) network architecture elements (repeater, hub , bridge, router, gateway), terminal equipment, technology networks - nodes (PC, server, printer, storage, measuring and safety equipment). Application Logs & Internet services:Services provided by the internet (www, mail, storage, IM, IP telephony, etc.), application protocols (DNS, DHCP, FTP, TFTP, HTTP, WebDAV, IMAP, IRC, NNTP, NFS, NTLM, NTP, POP3, SMB , SMTP, SNMP, Telnet, SSH, X11, XMPP). The TCP / IP: Application layer, transport layer, network layer, network layer interface, IP address, IPv4, IPv6, MAC address, packets, domain, domain syntax, domain alias, TLDs, the system DNS hosting. WWW: Higher WWW service, history, development, basic building blocks (URL, HTTP, TCP / IP, HTML, client-server), hypertext and its principles, link, site structure (surface web, deep web, invisible web), web browser (development, history, core), web hosting, websites, blogs, portals, Vortal, web search (search engines, metasearch, subject directories) HTML. Transmission media of the Internet provider's: Transmission media, their uses and properties, transfer rate, twisted pair, coaxial cable, fiber optic cables, wireless radio communications, optical wireless communication, connection broker - possible solutions in the Czech Republic, rates, broadband. Web 2.0: Characteristics of Web 2.0, semantic web, compared with web 1.0 web as a platform for many to many communication, blurring the boundaries producer-consumer, mush-up, reputation systems, wikis, collaborative intelligence, long tail, folksonomies and tagging, continuous beta, the likely future development (web 3.0, 4.0). E-commerce, E-government: Tools e-commerce Web 2.0, reputation systems, advertising on the web (banners, flash, paid advertising, Google Adsence). E-government in the Czech Republic - Czech POINT, Egon, Land Registry, ARES - Administrative Business Register, Trade Register, data boxes, certification authority, digital signature, PDF format and its use in the E-comm and E-gov. Cloud comupting: The principle of cloud services, advantages and disadvantages of cloud, SaaS, PaaS, Haas, basic cloud types, examples of solutions and applications.
