- Course objectives
- Lecture series focuses on the issues of modern art, ie the problem of old and new in terms of art history as such (aesthetic and historical dimensions of tradition and innovation, the concept of avant-garde), in the strict sense of the word art, associated with the onset of secular democratized and nationalized the company and its internal transformation. The listener is led to the understanding of the dynamics of a period of artistic forms that - viewed in political history - is framed by the French Revolution (1789) and the disintegration of the Soviet bloc (about 1990).
