Course objectives
The aim of the course is to provide students the information on the historical development of Czech since the earliest times. Basic sound changes and morphological development will be introduced. Students will also work with authentic historical texts.

  • Historical phonology of Czech language
    Development of morphology since the end of Proto-Slavic
    Nouns, adjectives, pronouns and numerals
    Development of verbal system
