Course objectives
The course focuses on defining the concepts of culture, cultural history, cultural history, art (or scientific, technical) culture, in the context of the general history of science and historiography from the Enlightenment to the 20th century. The culture over a long time since the mid-18th century to the present acted in various contexts, as does the questioning of the historicity of this phenomenon, which gains different forms and shades. The term cultural history is frequented, however expressing what it means is a relatively complex mental operations of abstracting the cultural-historical components in the history of philosophy (philosophy of culture as a stream of philosophical questioning, in the 20th century philosophical anthropology) and general history (political versus cultural history), or in sociology and Political Science (world crisis as a crisis of culture).
