Prerequisites
Emphasis on reading key texts of cultural anthropologists and analyze their influence in the field of historiography.
Course Enrolment Limitations
The course is offered to students of any study field.
Course objectives
Students will become familiar with the main features, methods, procedures, and concepts of cultural anthropology as the science of perception and the formation of cultural otherness. Attention will be paid, for example, the formation of ethnic, gender or religious alterity, as well as issues of economic and visual anthropology. Emphasis will be placed on reading key texts of cultural anthropologists and analyze their influence in the field of historiography.
