Course objectives
The course focuses on the history of museology in the Czech Republic and Central Europe. Student of museum institutions, different ways of presentation the Museum material in the past and with the most important personalities of the field.
Syllabus
  • 1. The Museum in the Czech Republic in the first half of the 19th century.
    2. The Museum in the Czech lands in the second half of the 19th century.
    3. The Museum in the Czech Republic in the first third of the 20th century.
    4. Prague: the National Museum, the city, the applied arts, engineering, special Museum.
    5. The Situation the Museums in Moravia, especially Brno and Olomouc.
    6. The Museum in Czech Silesia, especially in Opava.
