- Course objectives
- The course provides students with focused preparation for application in practice after graduating from SP in cultural and historical facilities in accordance with the graduate profile. The aim of the internship is to equip students with the skills to perform activities and to provide selected services in the field of care for cultural heritage and cultural and historical practical activities development of their organizational skills. Completion of the internship contributes to greater motivation of students to apply the acquired knowledge and teaching skills and thus increase their employability in the labor market. Professional practice II is usually organized as continuous, in the range of 4 weeks. It typically takes place in memory institutions (museums, art / exhibition galleries, archeoparks, open-air museums), in buildings (castle, chateau, monastery, etc.), at workplaces monument care, etc. The student performs a self-guided service, prepares simpler and participates in more complex thematic cultural and historical products (lectures, animation programs for children, seniors, instructed visitors), participates in activities related to the management and presentation of funds and collections, in the organizational institution or part thereof. Within the team, it participates in cooperation with other institutions, in the preparation of comprehensive programs and projects. The internship takes place under the methodical guidance of a mentor - a cooperating expert from practice / institution and under a framework under the supervision of a teacher - supervisor; the final evaluation of the practice belongs to the guarantor of the course. The student keeps a written diary; will receive the evaluation of a mentor and supervisor. Knowledge is verified in the form of an oral discussion, usually with the participation of a student, guarantor and supervisor.
