- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is to acquaint students with the application of social sciences' research (especially sociological and psychological) methods in library practice. The course includes also presentation and mastery of basic mathematical and statistical tools for quantitative analysis of research results. Particular attention is devoted to the questionnaire survey, especially the principles of questionnaire design and its evaluation, both in terms of quantitative and qualitative approach.

- Participation in lectures is reccomended. Absence in two seminars is allowed.
Criteria for examination:
Oral debate over the key concepts of social sciences' research methodology.
Prerequisite for admission to the examination is to manage the didactic test of subject matter at least on 80%. After consultation with the teacher an additional term beyond the specified examination period can be set.
