Course objectives
The aim of the lectures is to get students familiar with the general tendencies in the history of Czech linguistics.
Learning outcomes
Student is able to: - talk about the general tendencies of the Czech language studies - define the importance of the Prague linguistic school - be familiar with the important linguistic journals

Development of standard Czech 9. Czech purism 10. History of the Institute of the Czech language 11. Linguistic journals 12. Czech language studies in the context of Slavic Studies 13. Czech studies in the universities abroad.
