- Course objectives
- The aim is to acquaint students with the basics of writing an academic text. Since heuristic collecting material through the selection and study of literature, an analysis of the material, references and citations to the concrete production of the final text.
- Syllabus
- The course is designed for students of 1st year. Students prove by specific examples how to collect and gather material. There will also be introduced to basic dictionaries to be able to reach the necessary quota of literature. Through the reading of selected problematic (un)scientific texts the students are brought closer to the critical work with specialized literature. Using specific examples of other authors and their own experiments, students will learn citation ethics and rules for referencing, quoting and paraphrasing. All this skills will be used in the final creative student works on a limited and undemanding topic.

Collection of material (eg. Work of Jan Balabán).
Professional literature (from the Lexicon of Czech literature after the electronic dictionary Czech literature after 1945).
