Course objectives
The aim of the course is to familiarize students with the the history, key authors and movements of the World literature since the modernism and avant-garde period in 20th century till the postmodernism.
Syllabus
  • Period of modernism and avant-gardes in the World literature
    Modernistic novel (e.g. J. Joyce, V. Woolf, M. Proust)
    Literary movements after the 2nd world war (existencialism, neorealism, nouveau roman, theatre od the absurd, beat generation, magic realism etc.)
