- Course objectives
- The subject, focused on the basic issues of perception, evaluation and interpretation of specific theater productions, aims to name the individual elements of a scenic work from the point of view of their functionality in a specific production and the presumed intention of the creators.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to:
- identify and summarize the basic features of theatrical expression and theatrical perception;
- write an essay on the topic of a specific theatrical performance;
- compare and highlight the differences of individual scenic events and analyze them - Syllabus

- Seminar.
- Assessment methods
- Participation in seminars (75%). Active and stimulating participation in discussions and joint interpretations conditioned by watching the assigned stage works. An overview of the current Czech theater context. Good orientation in individual stages of cultural history. Fulfillment of creative tasks assigned during the semester. Presentation of a paper (approx. 15-20 min.) on a chosen/assigned topic (to be determined at the beginning of the semester). It is expected to be grasped individually, necessarily connected with the public presentation of one's own opinion in front of other students and with the natural effort to defend it.
