Course objectives
Cultural History represents an established field of historical research. The series of lectures and seminars follows the formation of cultural history, key phases of its development, interdisplinary character and current main topics. An emphasis will be on introducing the conceptual apparatus and chief works which are connected with cultural history. In the lectures the concept of culture as a semiotic system will be addressed.
