Course objectives
The aim of the course is to give the students the basic information of the field of management - to get them acquainted with the importance, development and content of management, and the content of the functions of management. The students will get an in-depth knowledge of the personality and character of a manager, human resource management, corporate identity and international management of services. The students will be informed of other current managerial issues applied in tourism establishments especially in the area of spa and tourism.

    2. Classification of the development of management, current trends in spa and tourism management
    3. Types of management - strategic, crisis, innovative, project, quality, ecology, destination and yield management
    4. Process of management. Planning in spa and tourism
    5. Organisation and organisational structures of spa and tourism establishments
    6. Control as an effective tool of management in spa and tourism
    7. Decision-making, communication, coordination and regulation
    8. Leading and motivation of people working in spa and tourism
    9. Basics of human resource management
    10. Personality and character of a manager
    11. Identity of a company, managerial ethic
    12. International management in the area of spa and tourism
