Course objectives
This follows up the course Preparation of a leisure-time product with focus on clients with specific needs (resulting from age and social status) with emphasis put on cultural heritage of the Czech lands, border areas and regions with cultural and historical bonds to the Czech past. The aim is realisation of a chosen product, usually a 5-day excursion. The emphasis is placed on demonstration of the level of theoretical preparation, professional content and organizational-technical arrangements (taking into account the needs/requirements of clients), costing preparation and the quality of guide preparation. Finally, the product is evaluated, especially with regard to its thematic focus and fulfilment, the quality of guiding (presentation, animation of cultural heritage).
Learning outcomes
A student is able to realise particular phases of a leisure-time product (excursion), i.e. transport, accommodation, guiding, presentation and animation of cultural heritage, settlement of costs.
Syllabus
  • 1. – 2. Recapitulation of preparation of a product aimed at a chosen topic of cultural history/cultural heritage for people with specific needs.
  • 3. Realisation of a 5-day turism product/excursion.
  • 4. Creation of final costing and its settlement.
  • 5. Analysis and evaluation of preparation, realisation, costing and settlement of the product.

Realisation of theoretical preparation of a group project, discussion and evaluation.
Assessment methods
Compulsary participation in the excursion with active animation. Written report. Participation at seminars (75 %).
