- Course objectives
- Publishing activity in the museum - forms (leaflets, posters, invitations, catalogs, technical publications, periodic publications) and content links with the main mission of the museum (mission statesment), examples of concrete actions. Museum collections as the basis for the museum presentation. The significance of the text - professional and aesthetic quality, the meaning of the text of the museum exhibition. Means of museum presentation - Types and use in museum practice. Museum marketing - Public relations and museum. The museum as a permanent educational institution. Museum and educational economics. Strategic planning in the museum and its significance for museum presentation. The importance of teamwork in the implementation of exhibitions and expositions.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student will be able to practically apply theoretical knowledge about:
- editorial and publishing activities in the museum;
- creation of a museum collection;
- individual phases of musealization and their muutual relations;
