Course objectives
Visiting of a theatre or other specialized festival and his active audience reception (participation public professional discussions, preparation of the festival newsletters etc?). Students learn how to perceive domestic theatre works in a wider context. They are acquainted with the main trends and important artistic figures. Festival reviews expanding student knowledge in individual studies and enables work in other studies.

Syllabus
  • Visiting of a festival and his active audience reception (participation public professional discussions, preparation of the festival newsletters etc?). This coruse is registered in relation to the theatre festivals at the time (OS-RA-VAR, Flora Theatre Festival, Dream Factory Ostrava, etc.). This course has special scheduling - It is dependent upon the program offerings of available festivals.

Teacher's information
1. Visiting of a festival (student must consult choice of festival before its visiting with the course supervisor).
2. Visiting all planned stagings (100% presence) and other related events (e.g. discussions with artists).
3. Completion of the final report (approx. 5 standard pages of text - critical review of festival, performances and dramaturgy), public presentation of a professional contribution or cooperation with the festival newsletter. Completion of the course paper (electronic version must be delivered 4 working days before term of assessment).
4. The course can be completed in the winter or summer semester.
