Course objectives
The aim of the course Organization and Project Management 1 is to theoretically acquaint students with the basics of project management in the form of lectures and seminars with regard to current world standards and methods. Students will be acquainted with selected techniques used in project management, will be able to orient themselves in related terminology and will be prepared for further deepening of theoretical knowledge in the field of project management. Outline - blocks 1. Project, project management - project, project triangle, project plan, project schedule, project goal. 2. Brief history of project management - the beginnings of project management, rationalization of project management 19th century, 20th century, Frederick Taylor, current standards of project management, PMBOK, IPMA, ISO 10006, PRINCE2, certification system for project managers. 3. Project life cycle - initiation (Project initiation, feasibility study, opportunity study, project objectives, project scope, milestones), planning (project team building, project schedule, project management plan, resource planning, budget planning), implementation (management quality and change management, project monitoring and reporting methods, monitoring) and project completion (project handover and acceptance, final evaluation). 4. Analysis and visualization of project management - Gantt chart, critical project path, multiple critical project path, PERT analysis, WBS - Work Breakdown Structure, Pareto rule.
