Methodology, principles and procedures for practical use museological theory in the selection and documentation of museum collections.
Syllabus
  • 1. Classification of documents.
    2. Principles and criteria for selecting items and their documentation.
    3. Documentation and rsearch. Documentation systems.
    4. Documentation means and procedures.
    5. Understanding the development and maintenance of the collections.
    6. Building the collection and documentation thesaurus.
    7. Approach to classification of collections.
    8. Norms and standards for the documentation of museum collections.
    9. Recommended administrative procedure of registration and professional documentation of museum collections.
    10. Chronological evidence of first degrees of museum collections.
    11. Systematic evidence second degrees of museum collections.
    12. The inventory of collections.
