Course objectives
The subject introduces forms of international cooperation on the level of interest groups of cross-border cultural or cultural-historical territorial units with the aim of mutual recognition, cooperation and development. It deals with Euroregions operating within the European Union based on administrative, public, civil and private organisations. The activities of Euroregions with Czech participation are highlighted; project platforms for cooperation are presented. Attention is paid preferably to organisations on the Polish-Czech border, where Silesian University participates, with a presentation of their projects, programmes and results. Other forms of cross-border, especially active Czech-Polish cooperation of cultural and historical nature are also presented, especially if they deal with cultural heritage, its protection and presentation (ESÚS TRITIA, Forum Muzeów Domowych, etc.).
