- Prerequisites
- The purpose of the screenwriting workshop is the individual cooperation of the student with the teacher, in which the emphasis is on personality, authorial style and methodology of writing process. Part of the course are own screenwriting exercises.

- Course objectives
- The aim of the course is for students not only to master screenwriting practice and procedures, but also to get acquainted with the theory of screenwriting and to be able to distinguish, for example, between motif and theme.
- Learning outcomes
- After completing the course, the student should be able to create their own screenplay in both film and radio.
- Syllabus
- 1. Brief description of the original idea and its stylization into a premise, examination of its viability (myths, legends, rumors, fairy tales). Topic = message
- 2. Formation of the original idea, emphasis on the communicability of the idea
- 3. Credibility, analysis of the story, dramatization of the story
- 4. Conflict - building, gradation, climax, fading
- 5. Creation of breakpoints
- 6. Basic elements of dramatization
- 7. Map of internal events
- 8. Map of external events
- 9. Expression by image - visibility of the invisible
- 10. Sound - sound dramaturgy
- 11. Motive; leitmotif, motivic lines
- 12. Point. Conclusion. Closing all themes.
- 13. Narrative structure - traditional three-act structure. Anchoring screenwriting principles

- Oral and written examination of knowledge (screenwriting methods, procedures and tools - on specific screenwriting exercises to verify the mastery of screenwriting software, submission of parts of scenarios, exercises and etudes). Attendance at seminars (75%).
