Course objectives
The aim of this course is to carry out practical exercises in editing post-production of audiovisual works in connection with the course Fundamentals of Camera Production II. The processing of own filmed image material according to the rules of editing composition is the main content of this course. Students will learn the concepts of compositional syntax, the importance of sound composition, and the importance of the musical component of an audiovisual work to the final artistic effect of the work. The course includes an introduction to the methods of image finalization of the work - color grading, DCP mastering, export for TV Broadcasting and also the presentation of the resulting work at a public screening. Content - Analytical recording and synthetic composition of an audiovisual work. - Style and technical means to achieve it, method of communication. - Narrative and fictional world constructed by the viewer. - Plot, storyline, narration - the basic pillars in the construction of a film work. - Non-fictional models of documentary film, its modes. - Genre division of an audiovisual work, its observance and possibilities of combining stylistic elements. - Overview of methods of finalizing AV work, digital projection, TV broadcasting, internet.
