Course objectives
The aim of the course is theoretical clarification of the causes of the origin, course and management of the basic aspects of crisis intervention. Students acquire knowledge of general and special concepts of crisis intervention, learn to identify the causes of various crises. They become familiar with the typology of crises (developmental, situational cumulative, Baldwin's typology, etc.). They will recognize (diagnose) how the crisis manifests itself in children, adolescents, adults and seniors. The specifics will be crises in marriage and the family, as well as crises in the community and in society. Students will get an overview of the techniques and methods of crisis intervention, they will continuously try out the selected techniques on model examples.
Learning outcomes
Practical experience of working with selected case studies and work methods for handling challenging practice situations. Final assessment in seminar paper with case description.

    10. Community and society in crisis
    11. Outline of crisis intervention techniques and methods

Teacher's information
The student will prepare current cases of providing crisis intervention that he has encountered during his practice or that he has experienced in his surroundings. It will describe the solution and suggest other/other options for intervention.
