Course objectives
The aim of the subject is to reflect on professional practice within the framework of supervision, which leads the student to acquire these basic skills and in the field of supervision. Students are introduced to basic knowledge about the forms and goals of supervision, including basic supervision approaches and ethical principles of supervision. Attention is also paid to the process of preparation, negotiation and content of the supervision contract. The subject emphasizes group supervision work, team supervision, including the application of Balint's groups in supervision. Students are introduced to basic information on the use of transactional analysis and psychodrama in supervision and selected supervision techniques. The purpose of the subject is to ensure a functional connection of the theoretical base with the practical application of the acquired knowledge.

  • 1. Supervision in the Czech Republic. Forms and goals of supervision. Supervisory approaches. Ethical principles of supervision. Possibilities, limits, benefits and risks of supervision 2. Supervision contract. Contract preparation process 3. Supervision contract. Negotiation and content of the contract 4. Group work under supervision. Advantages and disadvantages of group work in supervision. Types and forms of supervision groups. The role of the supervisor when working with a group 5. Competence of supervisor, competence of supervisors and mutual relationship. Structure and process in group supervision 6. Basic principles and sources of dynamics of group supervision. Group membership. Contract and other agreements. Group rules. Adherence to the elements of group work 7. The starting supervision group and its formation. Topic for group supervision. Work to fulfill the needs of the supervisor. Group process issues 8. Team supervision. Organization and team before supervision. Contact, outreach or order. Negotiation with the supervisor.
